The Sign In page is the entry point to the portal. It verifies your identity using your existing organizational account before granting access to any features.

What This Page Does

The Sign In page presents a split-screen layout. The left side displays MDOT branding — a Michigan highway photograph, the department logo, and the portal title. The right side shows the available sign-in options. You do not need to create a separate username or password for this portal. Instead, you sign in with an account you already use at work.

Key Features

Single Sign-On Buttons

The right side of the page displays the sign-in button: Sign in with MiLogin — Use your State of Michigan account. This is the recommended option for MDOT staff and partner agencies.

Click one of the buttons, and you will be redirected to the provider's sign-in page. After entering your credentials there, you are sent back to the portal automatically.

MDOT Branding Panel

The left side of the screen shows the Michigan Department of Transportation logo, the portal name ("Highway Camera Management Portal"), and a background photograph of a Michigan highway. This panel confirms you are on the correct site before entering your credentials.

First-Time Users

If this is your first time signing in, the portal creates your account automatically. However, you will not have access to any features until an administrator assigns you one or more roles. After signing in for the first time, contact your administrator to request the appropriate access level. See the Roles page for a description of each role.

Returning Users

If you already have an account with assigned roles, you are taken directly to the Dashboard after signing in.

How It Works in Practice

  1. Open the portal in your web browser.
  2. The Sign In page appears.
  3. Click Sign in with MiLogin.
  4. Enter your credentials on the provider's sign-in page. If your organization requires multi-factor authentication, complete that step as well.
  5. You are redirected back to the portal. If you have roles assigned, the Dashboard loads. If you are a new user without roles, you will see a message asking you to contact your administrator.

Who Has Access

Public — no sign-in is required to see this page. The Sign In page is the only page in the portal that does not require an active session. All other pages redirect here if you are not signed in.
